*English Poem Recitation Competition* – Primary Section (Classes I & II)

The Primary Section of Sophia High School, Mount Abu successfully conducted the English Poem Recitation Competition for the students of Classes I and II on 18th July 2026. The competition aimed to develop self-confidence, improve pronunciation, encourage expression, and foster a love for English poetry.
The young participants recited poems on a variety of themes, including Nature, Water, Earth, Farmer, Time, Trees, Seeds, the Sun, Butterflies, the Girl Child, Clouds, Rainbows, Traffic Lights, Gratitude, the Sea, Boats, Animals, Fairies, Save Nature, and Sense Organs. Dressed in colourful costumes and supported by attractive craftwork, the children confidently presented their poems. Their enthusiastic performances and expressive recitation made the programme lively and enjoyable.
The competition was judged on clarity and pronunciation, expression, and presentation. It was judged by Primary In-charge, Sr. Amrita, KG In-charge, Sr. Anjana, and Mrs. Mary, who appreciated the participants for their confidence, communication skills, and sincere efforts.
The programme concluded on a joyful note, celebrating the creativity and confidence of the young learners while inspiring them to continue expressing themselves through the beauty of poetry.
