The celebration commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a solemn prayer service and floral tributes offered by our Principal, Sr. Abha, our Primary In-charge, Sr. Amrita, teachers and student representatives to the portraits of the two great national leaders. The prayer service included soulful prayers and hymns such as “Hey Pita Swargwasi,” “Itni Shakti Hamein Dena Data” and “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram.”
The Secondary Section students delivered meaningful speeches highlighting the inspiring lives, ideals and contributions of Gandhi Ji and Shastri Ji. They also presented a short skit conveying the values of truth, non-violence, ethical living, civic responsibility and cleanliness, followed by a graceful dance performance.
The Primary Section added its own meaningful presentations. Class 2A students presented a thoughtful skit emphasising the importance of never abandoning the path of truth and non-violence. The Primary students also sang the melodious song “De Di Hamein Azaadi” and presented a poem highlighting the life, ideals and contribution of Mahatma Gandhi Ji.
Adding a special touch to the celebration, the students of KG and Primary beautifully depicted Gandhi Ji and Shastri Ji. Through these presentations, teachers introduced the young learners to the values of truth, non-violence, simplicity, patriotism and the inspiring message of “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan.”
The spirit of service and cleanliness was further reflected through activities conducted by the Secondary Section. Class IX students undertook an awareness march to the Scout Ground, spreading patriotic and cleanliness messages, while Class X students participated in a Swachhata Drive at the Sophia Primary Ground under the guidance of their teachers.
