*SOFIESTA – 2025* 
(A cultural and sports event) 

Sophia High School celebrated its much-awaited two-days cultural and sports extravaganza SOFIESTA–2025 with great zeal and enthusiasm on 29th September and 1st October 2025, bringing together creativity, talent and sportsmanship across both the Primary and Secondary sections.

Day 1 began with an auspicious Lamp Lighting Ceremony and a Prayer Service invoking divine blessings for the success of the event. The atmosphere was lifted by the energetic dance performance “We Are the Dreamers”, symbolizing hope, unity, and youthful aspirations. The Opening Ceremony followed, where our Principal, Sister Abha, officially declared SOFIESTA open, and the Sports Oath was administered, emphasizing teamwork and fair play.

The day unfolded with a variety of activities — Cartoon Character Enactment, Poem Recitation, and Calligraphy Competitions — where Primary students showcased their creativity and confidence. On the grounds, Cross Country Races marked the start of the Secondary competitions, followed by the Kho-Kho and Basketball Semi-Finals, which filled the campus with cheers and excitement. The Novelty Race Semifinals for the Primary section added to the thrill with fun races like the Wheel Barrow Race, Penguin Race, Three-Legged Race, Drag Sack Hop race, and Skipping Relay Race. The day 1 events were filled with enthusiasm  setting the stage for more thrilling activities of day 2.

Day 2 commenced with a Prayer Service marking Gandhi Jayanti, followed by the Basketball and Kho-Kho Finals, where Sapphire House emerged victorious. The excitement continued with Novelty Races—Tunnel Race, Four-Legged Race, Balancing the Book, and Relay Race—conducted by each house, reflecting teamwork and sportsmanship. Primary students also took the stage for a Creative Showcase cum Ramp Walk, confidently presenting nature-inspired, Western, and traditional themes.

Two external referees, Mr. Subhash Chandra and Mr. Anil Kumar, were invited .The basketball and Kho-Kho matches were conducted under their refereeship.They were presented with tokens of appreciation by our principal Sister Abha for their valuable contribution. Judges were also invited to evaluate the cultural events in the Primary Section — Sister Prema, Sister Neelam, and some teachers shared their valuable judgments and encouragement.

The celebration concluded with the vibrant dance performance “Shaabaashiyaan”, the announcement of winners of the event, and finally, the Sophia Anthem, echoing pride and unity across the campus.
 Primary students were also awarded certificates in recognition of their enthusiastic participation in the SOFIESTA activities.

SOFIESTA–2025 was a grand celebration of talent, teamwork, and togetherness, reflecting the true Sophia spirit in every event and every smile.
