Class X Excursion (11th–17th December)
The Class X Excursion began on the night of 11th December, with students travelling by bus to Jodhpur and then boarding a Third AC train to Amritsar at 7:30 a.m., reaching late at night around 1:00 a.m. The train journey was enjoyable, as students shared meals, laughter, and moments of togetherness, strengthening peer bonds.
In Amritsar, students visited places of cultural, historical, and national importance. Visits to temples enhanced their understanding of India’s rich heritage, Jallianwala Bagh highlighted the sacrifices of freedom fighters, and the Golden Temple inspired values of equality, service, and spiritual serenity. The Beating Retreat Ceremony at Wagah Border filled students with patriotism and pride. The day concluded with a joyful evening at the hotel with food, dance, and recreation.
The journey continued to Chandigarh and then to Manali, offering scenic views of rivers, pine forests, and the Himalayan landscape. In Manali, visits to Solang Valley, Snow Point, and the Atal Tunnel provided thrilling snow experiences and insight into mountain environments and modern engineering. Students also visited the Hidimba Devi Temple, Van Vihar, and the Tibetan Monastery, gaining exposure to local culture, architecture, and values of peace and harmony. Time at Mall Road allowed students to explore local life through shopping and local cuisine, while warm and comfortable hotels ensured rest in the cold climate.
The group then travelled back to Chandigarh by bus, enjoying shared moments and refreshments during halts, and reached late at night. On 17th December, students began their return journey from Chandigarh to Abu Road and finally reached Mount Abu safely.
The excursion proved to be an enriching blend of education, adventure, cultural exposure, and togetherness, leaving students with lifelong memories. The successful planning and execution of the tour was made possible by the foresight and leadership of our respected Sister Principal, Sr. Abha, who thoughtfully scheduled it after the pre-board examinations. The students sincerely express their gratitude to Sr. Abha, Sr. Prema, and the accompanying teachers Sir Gajendra, Ma’am Milli, and Ma’am Hemlata for their constant care, guidance, and dedication, ensuring a safe, well-organised, and memorable experience.
